Biography:Holder of the First Class Golden Medal for Sciences and Arts and the recipient of the 2010 Appreciation State Prize in the realm of Advanced Technological Sciences. Professor Ammar is currently the Chairman of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology Department, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Industries, Future University in Egypt; formerly, Dean of the Pharmacy Division, National Research Centre, Cairo, Egypt. He has 130 research papers published in international scientific journals. These research papers cover most of the areas related to pharmaceutics, biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics. Design of nanotechnology –based new drug delivery systems lies at the top of his research interests during the past two decades.
Myung Chul Chang has completed his PhD at the age of 36 years from Seoul National University and postdoctoral studies from University Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He is the director of Biomaterials Lab. He has published more than 50 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute.
Dr. Razeghi, currently serving as the Director of the Center for Quantum Devices, Northwestern University. She created the Graduate and Undergraduate Programs in Solid State Engineering (SSE) in the ECE Department at Northwestern University, a 12 .course curriculum and also supervised 50 PhD dissertations, 19 MS theses while at Northwestern. Currently supervises approximately 15 PhD students, Post-Docs, Visiting Researchers, and Faculty. Dr. Razeghi is a pioneer in the area of III-V compound semiconductors and optoelectronic devices from the deep ultraviolet to the far infrared spectral bands, including in particular InP and GaAs based semiconductors and devices, which were at the heart of the optical fiber telecommunication revolution of the late 20th Century and the rise of the information age. She is also an expert in quantum devices operating in the deep ultraviolet spectral band, with the demonstration of novel light-emitting diodes, photo detectors and focal plane arrays with world record characteristics. Based on her scientific research work, Dr. Razeghi is the author of 18 books and the author of 31 book chapters. She is the author or co-author of more than 1000 papers and has given more than 1000 invited and plenary talks. She holds 55 patents.
Hongwei Zhu has completed his PhD from Tsinghua University, China and postdoctoral studies from Japan and USA, respectively. His research interests include multi-scale synthesis and assembly, characterizations and applications of low dimensional materials. Currently, he is a vice-dean of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University. He has authored 5 books and 10+ invited book chapters, received 20+ patents and published 200+ journal papers including Science, Chem. Soc. Rev., Sci. Adv., Adv. Mater. and Nano Lett., with >15000 citations.

Biography:Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became professor in 1996, and he has already been working as professor. He published over 50 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 100 conferences and symposia in international and national level as participant, invited speaker or keynote speaker with contributions. Alexander L Kalamkarov is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada since 1993, and Director of Smart Materials Centre since 1995. He was awarded the PhD degree from the Moscow State University in 1979 and the Doctor of Sciences (Habilitation) from the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in 1990. His academic career spans over 40 years in Research and University teaching. He has taught in the Universities in USA, England, France, Australia, Japan, and visited numerous Universities and Research Institutes around the world. Research performed by Prof. Kalamkarov in mechanics of solids, and specifically in micromechanics of advanced composite materials and smart structures is internationally recognized. Biography:Ramesh K Agarwal is the William Palm Professor of Engineering and the Director of Aerospace Research and Education Center at Washington University in St. Louis. From 1994 to 2001, he was the Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Professor and Executive Director of the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University in Kansas. From 1978 to 1994, he worked in various scientific and managerial positions at McDonnell Douglas Research Laboratories in St. Louis. He became the Program Director and McDonnell Douglas Fellow in 1990. He received PhD in Aeronautical Sciences from Stanford University in 1975, MS in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1969 and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 1968. He is the Author and Co-Author of over 400 publications and serves on the editorial board of 20+ journals. Biography:Christopher Koroneos is working as a Associate Professor in the Department Mechanical Engineering, University of Western Macedonia, Greece. He is a chemical engineer. He holds the position of Mayor in the Municipality of the Greek Island Nisyros, He did all his studies at the Department of Chemical Engineering of Columbia University in New York, USA, where he later was a professor and continues to be associated with the Earth Engineering Center as a Research Associate. Now he is Associate Professor having the chair of Renewable Energy and Energy Management at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia in Greece. He is also at the Unit of Environmental Science and Technology of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and the Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Environmental Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Biography:Majid Ghassemi is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department at the K. N. Toosi University of Technology; one of the most prestige’s technical university in Tehran, Iran. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Research at the University of Birmingham. He teaches graduate and under graduate courses and conduct research in the area of heat transfer and its application in bio and micro sensors, drug delivery, fuel cells, microchannels and alternative energy. He has over 20 years of academic and industrial experience and served as the President of the K. N. Toosi University of Technology from 2010 through 2013. Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Physical Chemistry (Solid State, Surface Chemistry and Catalysis) in 1990, 1996 and 1999, respectively, from College of science, Zagazig University, Egypt. However, he received B. Law in 2005 from College of Laws, Zagazig University, Egypt. He joined Physical Chemistry Department, Laboratory of Surface Chemistry and Catalysis, National Research Centre, Dokki, Cairo, Egypt, since 1992 till now. He was awarded a Post- doctoral fellowship in 2004 to Institute of Materials Science, Structure Research, Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany. He joined Chemistry Department, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, since 2009 till 2013. He is a researcher in bionanophotonics with a Ph.D degree in Optical Engineering from Sun Yat-sen University in China. After graduation, he continued his research in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of California, Berkeley and Biomedical Institute for Global Health Research and Technology (BIGHEART) at the National University of Singapore. He has extensive experience in optical trapping and manipulation using optical fiber tweezers, he also works on nanoplasmonic optical antennas for cellular exploration. Anne Schwarz-Pfeiffer is a Professor at Hochschule Niederrhein, Germany and she teaches and performs research on smart textiles at Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences. Her interest in smart textiles arose during her Master studies and she deepened her knowledge on this discipline during her PhD research at Ghent University. Later, she applied her knowledge when leading the working group smart textiles at the Institute of Textile Technology at RWTH Aachen. Maatouk KHOUKHI earned his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from Tohoku University-Japan in collaboration with New South Wales University-Australia. I have a long record of academic and industrial experience in thermo-fluids, solar energy, and building energy, teaching, research and services and I have a long experience with ABET accreditation. From 1993-2000, I worked as a research associate in the Solar and Thermal Conversion Laboratory at the Development Centre of Renewable Energy (CDER). After I received my PhD, I got a grant from New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and I was appointed as Research Fellow at Tohoku University and I did extensive experimental research on solar desiccant cooling system. In 2006 I was appointed as a Faculty at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Mineral (KFUPM) in Saudi Arabia and in 2009 at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) in Oman and then at United Arab Emirates University in 2017. I also held visiting faculty appointments at Building Research Centre (CSTB) France, University of Sydney, and University of Sharjah. My research work has been supported by several grants from Samsung, NEDO, and universities’ internal and external grants. The total budget of my projects exceeds 3.5 Million USD. I have published more than 70 journal and conference papers and I am a reviewer for several journals in my field of specialization. In addition, I have supervised and co-supervised several PhD and Master Theses.
Yuchao Li is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Nanophotonics, Jinan University, and a head of Nanophotonics for Trapping and Manipulation (NTM) Lab. He received his Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering from Sun Yat-Sen University. His current research interests lie at nanophotonics, biophotonics, optical trapping, and super-resolution imaging. Dr. Li has more than 10 published peer-reviewed journal articles, including Light: Science and Applications, ACS Nano, Advanced Functional Materials, Laser Photonics Reviews, Small, etc. He is also serving as a reference for physics and optics journals: Optics Letters, Optics Express, Applied Optics et al.
