He is a full member of Russian Academy of Natural Science and Academy of Engineering Sciences, member of the Presidium RANS. He is the laureate of State Prize of USSR (1982), of Russia (2001) and ECOWORLD-2017 International prize. Apollonov V.V. is a high profile scientist and well known around all over the world, for more than 49 years of his international scientific activity, he has participated and organized more than 60 international conferences, symposiums and workshops, prepared 32 candidates and doctors of physics and mathematics. For the last 5 years his scientific group has fulfilled more than 60 R and D contracts with customers from Japan, UK, Germany, France, China, Korea, Singapore and USA.He is the General Director of Energomashtechnika Ltd.

Professor Shi Nguyen-Kuok was born on February 20, 1967 in Hanoi, Vietnam. He graduated high school education in 1983 with honors. In the same year passed the state examination for admission to higher education and at the end of the contest was selected for education in the Soviet Union. From September 1983 to June 1984 studied Russian at preparatory faculty of the Institute of Foreign Languages in Hanoi. In August 1984, came to the Soviet Union and entered the first year of the electromechanical department of the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (now the National Research University "St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University" â€“ SPbSPU). While studying at the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute actively engaged in research work in the field of physics and technology of Low temperature plasma and participated in student scientific conferences. Received encouragement awards from the Academic Council and Rector of the Institute and certificates of honor from the Leningrad City Council for successful participation in the study and research work repeatedly. In 1989 he graduated (one year earlier) with honors the degree of M.Sc. in the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (SPbSPU) with specialty â€“ Power Electric. Since 1989 worked as an assistant at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Technology, in laboratory of plasma technique and technology at the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (SPbSPU). In June 1992, he successfully defended his doctor thesis on the theme "Simulation of the interaction between flow solid particles and plasma" and has been awarded the degree of PhD, specialty â€“ Electrotechnology. According to the results of a competition organized by the Scientific Council of the SPbSPU, this work has been recognized as the best in 1992 and Shi Nguyenâ€“Kuok was selected for further study at the postdoctoral in the SPbSPU. In March 2002 the dissertation work for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences (D.Sc.), specialty â€“ Electrotechnology on the theme "Investigation of the Induction and Arc Plasma Torches" was successfully carried out at the SPbSPU. The results of the work were estimated by the Higher Attestation Commission of Russian Federation and the work have been recognized â€œas the best of the defended dissertations in 2002 and that have the great importance for the national economyâ€. From 1994 to 2003 â€“ Associate Professor of the Electrical Engineering and Technology Department SPbSPU, taught special courses "Mathematical modeling of plasma and beam installations", "Theory of induction heating", "Plasma Physics", "Design of plasma and beam installations ". Since 2003 is a Professor of the Department of General Physics and Nuclear Fusion in National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" (NRU MPEI). Under the guidance of Professor Shi Nguyenâ€“Kuok, new courses for teaching students and a new Laboratory of Plasma Physics were created in the same University. Currently, the Laboratory of Plasma Physics serves as a base for training undergraduate and graduate students of specialty â€“ Fusion Reactors and Plasma Systems (direction â€“ Nuclear Power and Thermal Physics). Experience of scientific and pedagogical work of Professor Shi Nguyenâ€“Kuok is 30 years. Professor Shi Nguyenâ€“Kuok prepared 6 PhD students. Currently, the supervisor of 1 PhD graduate student. In NRU â€œMPEIâ€ prof. Shi Nguyenâ€“Kuok teach the lectures â€œMathematical methods of plasma physicsâ€, â€œMathematical modeling of sources of Low temperature plasmaâ€, â€œTransport processes in plasmaâ€, â€œComputer Technologies in Science and Educationâ€, â€œPlasma Technique and Technology â€. The course focuses on the description of the main methods of mathematical modeling of Low temperature plasma and plasma processes in the Electrotechnological plasma torches: Radio Frequency induction (RF) plasma torches for the treatment of refractory particles, spectral analysis and processing of hydrogen sulfide gas, arc plasma torches of open type for melting and welding, arc plasma torches of the channel type for cutting and spraying for plasma chemistry and treatment of materials surface. For students from Republic Myanmar, training on the master's program, teaches courses "Plasma physics and controlled nuclear fusion", "Kinetics of Low temperature plasma", "Statistical physics and quantum phenomena." Currently, prof. Shi Nguyenâ€“Kuok has about 150 publications, 7 textbooks

Lavinia BALAN obtained the PhD degree from the University Henry PoincarÃ© in Nancy, France, in 2005. Her PhD was devoted to the elaboration of an original material for the anode of Li-ion batteries. After a post doctorate in Orleans and then in Mulhouse, she joined the Department of Photochemistry (DPG) of Mulhouse in 2006 as a CNRS Senior Researcher. She opened a new field of research in this laboratory, viz. the photoassisted synthesis of metal nanoparticles and metal-polymer nanocomposite materials. Since December 2009, L. Balan joined the Institute of Materials Science of Mulhouse (IS2M) CNRS-LRC 7228. Her lines of research are concerned with (photo)chemical synthesis of metal/polymer nanocomposites and design, customization and characterization of metal nanoparticles and nanocrystals (quantum dots) suited for advanced applications in the fields of optic, photonics, plasmonics, information storage, imaging or biology.

Prof. Wei Fan, team leader of the front-end research group in National Laboratory on High Power Lasers and Physics in Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her research mainly focused on global laser control technology to improve the performance of the front-end and pre-amplifier of high power laser systems, such as spectrum precision control, near field intensity distribution control, laser waveform and synchronization control, fiber laser and repetition Solid state amplifier technologies. She has published more than 100 articles and more than ten patents. She won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award of China.

Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became professor in 1996, and he has already been working as professor. He published over 50 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 100 conferences and symposia in international and national level as participant, invited speaker or keynote speaker with contributions. He served the program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these activities. He received a certificate which is being awarded to him and his experimental group in recognition of significant contribution of 2 patterns to the Powder Diffraction File â€“ Release 2000. The ICDD (International Centre for Diffraction Data) also appreciates cooperation of his group and interest in Powder Diffraction File.
