Dr. Liew Yun-Ming is currently a senior lecturer in School of Materials Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and also a senior researcher at the Center of Excellence Geopolymer and Green Technology (CEGeoGTech). She obtained her doctoral degree from UniMAP. Her main field of research includes geopolymers, cement and concretes, recycled materials and polymer materials. She has been actively involved in research work relating to geopolymers since 2010. Professor Skaff received his Bachelor's of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at the American University of Beirut in 1967. After graduation, he worked as a site engineer in large industrial projects in Libya and Saudi Arabia. Some of the works he supervised are: Gas Project, Power, and Desalting Plant, Large Indoor Power House and Water Intake Structures. In 1973, he opened his own engineering and contracting office in Beirut, Lebanon. In October 1976, Professor Skaff joined the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Ottawa where he taught Engineering Graphics to all Engineering students and Surveying to Civil Engineering students. Since 1998, he is teaching Graphics, AutoCAD and Surveying to Civil Engineering students and Vector Mechanics (with other professors) to all Engineering students. During his tenure at the Department of Civil Engineering, Professor Skaff published a book entitled "Problems in Engineering Graphics and Design". He is also a professional Engineer and an active member of The Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) and its faculty advisor for more than twenty-five years. He presented a couple of papers at Civil Engineering conferences on the History of Civil Engineering and on Graphics and how it should be taught. He is also the coordinator of the PEO Student Paper Competition between the Faculties of Engineering at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. Professor Skaff, during his long years teaching at the University of Ottawa, has maintained high evaluations in the courses that he was and is still teaching.

Dr. J. N. Mandal, Professor of civil engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He has authored and co-authored approximately 500 papers on geosynthetics in various reputed referred to International/ National journals/conferences. He is the pioneer of geosynthetics and is the founder of International Geosynthetics Society Chapter (India). He has a chapter "Preservation of environmental protection using geosynthetics waste containment system" in the encyclopedia of environmental control technology, geotechnical applications leak detection treatment options, Gulf Publishing Company Texas, USA. He is the author/editor of six books. He organized the first Indian Geotextile Conference, 1988 at IIT Bombay under the auspicious of International Geosynthetics Society and International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering. He was the chairman for International Conference on Geosynthetics and Geoenvironmental Engineering in 2004. He had the privilege of chairing many technical sessions at several National and International Conferences on geosynthetics in India and abroad. He developed a video film on "Geosynthetics Edge" in 1986, a Video lecture on Geosynthetic Engineering(1994) and focused on the Turning Point program on TV on geosynthetics(1992). AbdullahQaban's research lies in the area of materials science and engineering, manufacturing and production, materials processing technologies, materials characterization, mechanical properties, and electrochemical corrosion behavior of materials. He is a visiting lecturer at the School of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering at City, University of London. He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2019 from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics at City, University of London. His Ph.D. research is focused on the effect of alloying composition and cooling rate on the hot ductility of TWIP steel and mechanical properties of HSLA steel. The project was supported by both steelmakers, TATA steel in the UK and POSCO in South Korea. He received his Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2014 from the School of Science, Engineering & Design at Teesside University. His Master's research is focused on improving the mechanical properties and recyclability of thermoplastic composites. He received his Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2012 from the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Surrey. His Bachelor's research is focused on characterizing damage accumulation and strength of non-crimp fabric composite for the wind turbine blades. The project was supported by VESTAS, the world's largest producer of wind energy.

I earned my doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from Tohoku University-Japan in collaboration with New South Wales University-Australia. I have a long record of academic and industrial experience in thermo-fluids, solar energy, and building energy, teaching, research and services and I have a long experience with ABET accreditation. From 1993-2000, I worked as a research associate in the Solar and Thermal Conversion Laboratory at the Development Centre of Renewable Energy (CDER). After I received my Ph.D., I got a grant from New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and I was appointed as Research Fellow at Tohoku University and I did extensive experimental research on the solar desiccant cooling system. In 2006 I was appointed as a Faculty at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Mineral (KFUPM) in Saudi Arabia and in 2009 at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) in Oman and then at United Arab Emirates University in 2017. I also held visiting faculty appointments at the Building Research Centre (CSTB) France, University of Sydney, and University of Sharjah. My research work has been supported by several grants from Samsung, NEDO, and universities’ internal and external grants. The total budget for my projects exceeds 3.5 Million USD. I have published more than 70 journal and conference papers and I am a reviewer for several journals in my field of specialization. In addition, I have supervised and co-supervised several PhD and Master Theses.

As a professor in the department of chemical engineering at Daegu University, Dr. Lim has impressed upon students the many intricacies of the field for more than 21 years. His expertise stems from his education, which includes both a BS from Seoul National University and a Ph.D. from University Center City University of New York in the United States. Over the past seven years, his excellent technology was designated as Superior Technology by the Korea Research Foundation. He has also been cited with numerous awards for his achievements in the field, including receiving a Governor Citation Award from Gyeongbuk government governor two-times Superior Academic-Industrial Cooperation Award and five-time Superior Research Award from Daegu University, and Biotechnology and Bioengineer Award from the Korea Society of Biotechnology and Bioengineering. Dr. Lim's journey during his tenure in higher education has also allowed him to contribute to numerous journals, both as a provider and as an editor. He has been serving as an editor for the Korean Chemical Engineering Research since 2011. He worked as an active faculty member of the Department of Architecture, National Institute of Technology-Calicut, from August 1988 to January 2009, and has contributed to the cause of Architecture through institution development, numerous building and interior projects; including the prestigious administrative complex of NITC, research projects, numerous published papers, teaching and invited lectures. He was awarded the John Crawford Scholarship by the Government of Australia, 1992 and Fulbright Research Fellowship 2003-04 with the center of research at the Department of Architecture, Cornell University, New York. The Nehru Trust for Cambridge Collections, Victoria Albert Museum, UK had awarded him a research grant for 2005-06. His paper "Gazing into the future of Architecture; An evolving profession" was awarded the Best Faculty Paper Award in the Golden Jubilee Conference of School of Architecture and Planning Chennai, February 2008. Dr. Gordon Huang is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Energy and Environment, and Executive Director of the Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Communities at the University of Regina, Canada. He holds BSC from Peking University (China), MSc from Simon Fraser University (Canada) and Ph.D. from McMaster University (Canada). Since the 1990s, Huang has led or been involved in over 100 environment-related research projects produced over 600 peer-refereed international journal papers and supervised over 100 Master/Ph.D. students. He is the president of the International Society for Environmental Information Sciences. He has also served the United Nations as an international expert in the field of risk management for drinking water safety. He obtained a National and National Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering from Peninsula Technikon in 1991 and 1992, an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, USA, in 1999, and a PhD in Civil Engineering from Stellenbosch University in 2007. Mohamed A. ElGawady, Ph. D. is a Professor and Benavides Faculty Scholar at Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly University of Missouri-Rolla) with 20 years of experience in extreme loading and sustainability. Previously, ElGawady has held positions at Washington State University, University of Auckland, University of South Australia, and Tokyo Institute of Technology. He worked also as a structural engineer for three years. His research addresses the performance of existing structures under man-made and natural hazards. He also has developed innovative structural systems and sustainable materials to mitigate extreme events. He is heavily involved in different design and construction codes such as The Masonry Society building code, American Concrete Institute Code, and Transportation Research Board. He is the Chair of ACI/ASCE Committee 441 on reinforced concrete columns. He also chairs the ACI 341A on the seismic behavior of bridge columns. He is the secretary for the Prestressed Masonry Committee and Vise-Chair the Masonry Research Committee. He co-authored 100 referred papers published in tier-one journals and 120 conference papers published in top national and international venues. Dr. ElGawady received funding from different agencies including Missouri DNR, DOT, Federal Highway Administration, University Transportation Center, Mid-America Transportation Center, Transportation Northwest, MoDOT, and WSDOT. His excellent and hard work has been recognized by Missouri S&T; through the inaugural Benavides Endowment Award, Joseph H. Dr. Zhou's main research interest is reliability- and risk-based structural integrity assessment of infrastructure systems, with a particular focus on oil and gas pipelines. Over the last eight years, Dr. Zhou has been collaborating extensively with the Canadian pipeline industry to develop new methodologies and tools to improve the reliability-based integrity management practice of oil and gas pipelines with respect to such threats as corrosion, third-party damage and stress corrosion cracking. He co-authored the Reliability-based Design and Assessment Guidelines for onshore natural gas pipelines, which have been adopted by the Canadian pipeline standard, CSA Z662. He is currently a Vice-Chair of the Technical Committee for the Canadian standard CSA Z260: Pipeline Safety Metrics. Dr. Zhou has authored or co-authored over 100 papers, including about 70 papers in peer-reviewed international journals. Dr. Zhou obtained his BEng and MEng in civil engineering from Tongji and Tsinghua Universities in 1993 and 1996, respectively, and his Ph.D. in structural engineering from The University of Western Ontario in 2001.

Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the Department of Transport Systems and Traffic Engineering, Faculty of Transport of the Silesian University of Technology. She is author and co-author almost 200 scientific papers/chapters in books, a member of numerous organizational, program, technical (more than 36) and scientific committees (more than 16) of scientific conferences organized in various countries around the world. She is also a member of editorial teams in journals connected with transport, traffic, and civil engineering, and reviewer in many scientific journals connected with transport, traffic, and civil engineering. She has Invited Speaker on "Eight International Conference on "Advances in Civil, Structural and Mechanical Engineering" in Paris (June 2018). Dr. Murat Eyvaz is an assistant professor of the Environmental Engineering Department at Gebze Technical University. He received his BSc. degree in Environmental Engineering from Kocaeli University in Turkey in 2004. He completed his MSc and Ph.D. in 2013 at the Gebze Institute of Technology (former name of GTU) in Environmental Engineering. He has 26 years of teaching and research experience in the field of environmental engineering, mainly related to water and wastewater treatment, leachate treatment, and bioremediation. His Ph.D. was on Mn removal from water using a limestone filter. His current interest is on Fe and Mn removals by a combination of filtration and microorganism. He has become an editor and editorial board member of a few international journals. Malaysia Academy of Sciences has awarded him a Top Research Scientist of Malaysia in 2012.

Dr. Fadzli Mohamed Nazri is an Associate Professor with research interest on risk assessment, seismic hazard, structural analysis, numerical simulation, and modeling. On top of this, his research has given him a deeper understanding and desire to learn more about earthquake engineering. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Structural and Earthquake Engineering in the School of Civil Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He gained his undergraduate degree and MSc by Research in Civil Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He completed his Ph.D. in structural and earthquake engineering from the University of Bristol, the UK in 2012. His Ph.D. research project during the Ph.D. was on predicting the collapse of the buildings by using numerical analysis. He has published 6 books, more than 50 reputable ISI/Scopus/era research papers in the field of structural and earthquake engineering, 5 book chapters and 5 policy papers with the Department of Standard Malaysia. He is currently supervising local and international Ph.D. candidates as both main and co-supervisor. He completed the supervision of 2 Ph.D., 7 Masters by research and mixed-mode (M.Sc.) and more than 20 final year projects of undergraduate studies. He was appointed as both internal and external examiner for M.sc and Ph.D. thesis by other IPTAs and private universities. And also, scientific reviewer for various journals such as the Journal of Earthquake Engineering and Vibration, International of Civil Engineering, Journal of Earthquake Engineering and 15 more other prestigious journals. He was appointed as an editorial board member for many conferences mainly in Malaysia and a few international Journals such as Swiss Journal of Applied Science and Athens Journal of Technology and Engineering. Prof. Changguo Wang was born in Dalian, China, in 1979.
