Dr. Al-Ashaab is Reader in Lean Product Development, the leader of the LeanPPD Research Group and a Course director of the MSc in Global Product Development and Management at the Manufacturing Department of Cranfield University. He was the technical coordinator of the LeanPPD European project and Set-Based Design and knowledge management expert in the TSB-CONGA project “Configuration Optimisation of Next Generation Aircraft”. His research projects have a strong focus on industrial applications. His research career started after he obtained PhD from Loughborough University in 1994. He then worked at ITESM Campus Monterrey in Mexico from 1994 to 2000 where 50% of his time was spent working with Mexican Industry in applied research. He has 25 years of teaching experience in Mexico, Colombia, France and UK. Dr Ahmed Al-Ashaab is the author/co-author of more than 100 research papers published in major international journals and internationally refereed conferences. He has supervised over 100 Masters and Doctoral theses. He has been collaborating with many companies such as Rolls-Royce, Airbus, Visteon, JLR, VW, Sitech, Indesit, MOOG, Caltec, CEMEX, Paxton and GETRAG.

Essam Eldin Khalil Hassan Khalil

Essam Eldin Khalil Hassan Khalil is an Egyptian Mechanical Engineer. Experienced Professor Of Mechanical Engineering with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Strong education professional skilled in AutoCAD, Mathematical Modeling, Fortran, SolidWorks, and LabVIEW.Khalil achieved his M.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cairo University in December 1973. In February 1977 he was able to achieve his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering at London University, Imperial College of Science and Technology, UK. In 1977, the same year he achieved his Ph.D., Khalil acquired a Diploma of Imperial College at London University and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Imperial College, London with the Support of Harwell Atomic Energy Research Establishment, United Kingdom. Khalil has published more than 900 papers on mechanical engineering.

Dr. Ing. Ryspek Usubamatov graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technical University. He is Professional Engineer in Mechanical, Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering, completed Ph.D. and Dr. Tech. Sc. He worked as engineer at a company and as a lecturer in universities of Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia. He has supervised around 100 Professional Engineers, 15 MSc and 7 PhD students. His key research are Productivity Theory for Industrial Engineering, Gyroscope Theory that represented by 7 books, 30 brochures and more than 350 manuscripts in reputed journals and 60 patents of inventions. He is serving as an editorial board member of repute of several international journals.

Abdel-Hamid I. Mourad

Dr. Mourad received his BSc degree and his M.Sc. degree (1989) in Mechanical Engineering from Helwan University. In 1991, he got a scholarship (INDO/ARE Cultural Exchange Program) under which he earned his PhD degree (Fracture Mechanics and Fatigue) from the IITB in 1996. He was promoted to the assistant professor rank in 1996. In 1998 was invited as a visiting scholar to the Ohio State University, USA. In September 2000 he joined the UAEU as assistant professor. In September 2003 he was promoted to the associate professor rank at Helwan University and in 2005 promoted to the same rank at the UAEU. In 2007 he was invited as a visiting scholar to the IITB. In 2009 he was promoted to full professor rank at Helwan University, Egypt, and to the same rank at the UAEU in Spring 2014. His main research areas are, Materials characterization, fatigue and fracture, stress analysis, stress corrosion cracking, FE method, failure analysis and prevention, durability and degradation of materials, FSW and FSSW, tissue engineering, biomaterials and nanotechnology. He has supervised 24 MSc and PhD theses and led as a PI and CO-PI 22 funded research projects that resulted in more than 100 papers.

Prof Gnanamoorthy, served as the Founder Director of IIITDM Kancheepuram (Govt of India), Mentor Director of IIITDM Kurnool, India and is an architect of Design Centric Engineering and Smart Manufacturing (4.0) Academic Programs in India.

Shahnawaz Mohsin

Dr. Rawani is a Professor in Mechanical Engineering, Director and acting Chairman (Board of Governors) of National Institute of Technology Raipur. He has received his M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering and Management from I.I.T. Kharagpur (India) and Ph.D. in Strategic Management from I.I.T. Delhi (India). He has about 36 years of teaching/research and administrative experience of educational institutes. Dr. Rawani has published more than one hundred research papers in International/National Journals and International Conferences. He has produced five Ph.D. under his sole supervision and currently supervising five more candidates for their doctoral program. He has delivered invited lectures in many countries including Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Mauritius, Dubai, USA, Hong Kong, Thailand and Indonesia. Dr Rawani is conferred with Fellowship Award by Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering in 2018 for his outstanding contribution in promotion of Industrial Engineering profession. He was also conferred with 'International Corporate Leadership Award in the field of Education' in 2015 at Bangkok and with ‘Pride of Asia International Award’ in 2014 by Economic Growth Society of India. He has also received 'Rashtriya Gaurav Award' in 2010 by India International Friendship Society, India. He was honoured by The Institution of Engineers (India) Chhattisgarh State Centre in 2009 for his valuable contribution in the field of Technical Education. He is the recipient of Best Management Case Award in 'GIFT CASE 2000' competition (executive category) from Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management. Dr. Rawani is a Life Member of Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management, Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education, Fellow Life Member of Institution of Engineers (India) and Fellow Member of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering. He is a member of Board of Governors of National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai. He had active collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology, EGADE Business School Mexico, South Asia Institute of Science and Engineering, Hong Kong and International Economic Development Research Centre, Hong Kong for research and other academic purposes.
