Jamal Zweit

Dr. Zweit is a professor of Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Molecular Pathology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Chemistry. He is the Director of the Center for Molecular Imaging and a senior member of the Massey Cancer Center at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center. He leads an inter-disciplinary and inter-collaborative molecular imaging and nanomedicine research program that utilizes multi-modality molecular imaging approaches to study cancer biology and therapeutics, including molecular imaging of Immune cell-based cancer therapy. Dr. Zweit is internationally recognized for his work in molecular imaging of cancer drug development, and conducted the “world’s first” Molecular PET Imaging clinical trial of Anti-angiogenic therapy in cancer patients (Journal National Cancer Institute 2002& 2006). Professor Zweit serves as an advisor on a number of national and international committees. He serves on the review body of a number of funding organizations, both in North America and Europe. He has supervised and advised 25 PhD and MD theses, and have mentored 15 post-doctoral Fellows. He has published more than 150 peer reviewed articles, over 250 conference abstracts, in addition to review articles and book chapters. Professor Zweit obtained his PhD and DScfrom the University of Manchester, UK. He received his Nuclear Medicine training at the John F. Kennedy Medical Centre in New Jersey, and attended advanced Nuclear Medicine training at the Brooklyn Hospital in New York. As an Undergraduate, he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree, in Radiation Biophysics, with a Biochemistry double major, from the University of Kansas, USA.

Bin TANG has completed PhD in the university of Hong Kong, China, at presently he is working as a Associate Professor for Department of Biomedical Engineering in a Southern University of Science and Technology, China, he has Honor with Most "Cited Author 2005-2008" awarded by international journal of Solid and Structures, 2009. He has research interests in a Micro/Nano Biomaterials, including novel Nano biomaterials development, bioactive bone cement fabrication and evaluations, Scaffold materials development, development of novel tissues replacement materials from natural materials in sea. His research interests in a Cell and tissues Nano/micro biomechanics in human diseases, including development of novel micro/Nano mechanical characterization techniques for biomaterials and tissues, investigation of cell & tissue biomechanics during the progression of certain diseases, e.g. corneal biomechanics in glaucoma, cell mechanics of cancer (Leukemia cells, Oral cancer cells, etc.), biomechanics of individual collagen fibrils in osteoarthritis; with the purpose to provide fundamental understanding of diseases to help in clinical treatment and development of new diagnosis techniques for various diseases.

Dr. Boro Dropulić, Ph.D., M.B.A has been in the gene therapy field since the late 1980s. He is currently the CSO & GM of Lentigen, a Miltenyi Biotec Company. Prior, Dr Dropulić founded Lentigen Corporation in December 2004 and served as its CSO and President. Previously, he was the Founder and CSO at VIRxSYS Corporation, where he successfully led a multidisciplinary team to initiate and complete the first lentiviral vector clinical trial in humans. Prior to that, Dr.Dropulić was Adjunct Assistant Professor at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he was the first to develop an HIV-based vector targeted to inhibit the replication of the HIV/AIDS virus

Sergey Suchkov was born in the City of Astrakhan, Russia, in a family of dynasty medical doctors. In 1980, graduated from Astrakhan State Medical University and was awarded with MD. In 1985, maintained his PhD as a PhD student of the I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy and Institute of Medical Enzymology, USSR Academy of Medical Sciences, Moscow, Russia. In 2001, finished the PostDoc Research Fellowship Program and maintained his Doctor Degree at the National Institute of Immunology, Russia. From 1985 through 1987, worked at Inst of Med Enzymology, USSR Academy of Medical Sciences. From 1987 through 1989, was a senior Researcher, Koltzov Inst of Developmental Biology, USSR Academy of Sciences. From 1989 through 1995, was being a Head of the Lab of Clinical Immunology and Immunobiotechnology, Helmholtz Eye Research Inst in Moscow. From 1995 through 2004, was being a Chairman of the Dept for Clinical Immunology, Moscow Clinical Research Institute (MONIKI) and the Immunologist-in-Chief of the Moscow Regional Ministry of Health. In 1993-1996, was an Executice Secretary-in-Chief of the Editorial Board, Biomedical Science, an international journal published jointly by the USSR Academy of Sciences and the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK. Dr Suchkov is a Co-Supervisor over the Russian-American Agreement on scientific and clinical col-laboration in the field of ocular immunology between Russian Academy of Sciences and National Institutes of Health (NIH); in 1991-1995 – a member of The Reciprocal Exchange Fellowship Program between Russian Immunological Society and British Society for Immunology. Dr Suchkov is a member of the Editorial Boards of many international journals including EPMA Journal (Springer, Brussels) and “Personalized Medicine Universe” (Elsevier, Japan). He was awarded with the International Price of the Stanley Foundation Award Program and for the Professional Committee to work as a fellowship position in the Laboratory of the Central Nervous System Studies, National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke under Dr. Joseph Gibbs for a period of 6 months, National Institute of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, Washington D.C. USA, June 5, 1990. At present he is member of the Scientific Board of the Psychiatric Hospital of Havana and give lectures to residents in psychiatry.

His PhD degree in Environmental Forensic Science with the study on the development of flood risk index. He is an expert in Chemometric techniques and data modeling. He has published numerous of book and academic papers that related with big data, risk analysis and environmental data modeling. Recently, he is working on with biomedical science research that focused on the development of gadget that able to alarm an early warning for Retinopathy diseases among diabetic patients. He was being appointed as an editorial board by several high impact publishers as an appreciation of his high quality of work in research. His contribution in his field also has been recognized from several local universities in Malaysia. This recognition was proven since he was being appointed as a subject matter expert under Open University Malaysia and allied co- researcher members under Cyber Security and System Unit, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia
